JWST 470V: “How did the Holocaust affect…?”

The Holocaust can seem like a distant event, contained by time and place; but it is not.

In this new seminar, we aim to explore the history of the Holocaust, the conditions that made it possible, and the effects it had and continues to have. We will hear about individuals and families who were and are directly affected, as well as less-commonly addressed issues of how topics we study bear the legacy of the Nazi genocide against the Jews.

An archive for “How did the Holocaust affect…?”

In an effort to make our communal work and knowledge more widely available, we’ve created this site, a dynamic archive. Here you will find recordings of most lectures related to our seminar, posts related to research projects, and resources for further investigation.

Thank you to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies for working with us to feature the work of their fellows.

This course is made possible by donor funding, allowing us to ensure that our contributors are compensated for their labor.
